so i'm a slut for flower language symbolism. this tattoo i finished a while ago, but i guess i didn't post here? it's for my Saturday game Fighter, Briggs. It's on his left side, over a huge scar from when he was gored by a boar protecting a noble.
It's a badger skull, the symbol of his house, overgrown with flowers: Dwarf Morning Glory (unbreakable bonds), Heliotrope (devotion, faithfulness), and Yellow Sweet Coltsfoot (Justice Shall be Done). Perfect for an Oathbound Captain of the Guard.

Heh, I once watched a murder mystery series, Rosemary & Thyme. One of the episodes actually went into flower language. Let's see, the bleeding-heart (Dicentra Spectabilis) was "Secret love", the tussock bellflower (Campanula Carpatica, white cultivar) was "Funeral bells", sweet marjoram symbolised birth and wolfsbane was "Vengeance". Are either I or the series off the mark?
Marjoram and Bellflower are correct, I've seen Wolfsbane be used for vengeance or for a general hatred of mankind. The bleeding-heart flower I only knew as Innocence or tragedy, while Melianthus the Honey Flower or Yellow Acacia was for secret love. I'd even add some Rose of Sharon to emphasize the point -- hopeless love. :3
It's such fun to make different combinations of flowers for stuff!
