This is Hrasdrah. She is Sent to retrieve a prisoner from the Urrat'ny War.

During the Urrat'ny-Jerren war, the Lord, while corrupted, possessed the minds of his people to overtake the Jerren capital. While under his influence, she murdered innocent people in the town. In the end, the Lord was slain and the mass control ended, freeing his people. They immediately surrendered and later a treaty was made. Junepre regained control after orphaning a young girl, coming to before she could take the girl's life. Her name is Mina and shes about 15 yrs old. Junepre immediately had a mental break down before she was imprisoned until trial.

After Junepre was freed and escorted by another urratny assigned to take her to homeland, she fought to stay in the city, moping in the grave yard, mourning those whose lives she took. Eventually the orphaned girl was brought by the matron to visit her parents graves and they met again. Junepre was torn up inside and had no way of expressing her pain and guilt properly to the upset girl. Her escort, Hrasdrah, was forced to stay and be her translator

Eventually, Junepre decided she wanted to adopt the child to make up for it and fought to do so. It was a big ordeal and it was met with hostility, but in the end, she was given permission because the girl chose to be with Junepre after debating. She was a forgiving child.

And so the three become a traveling party as they head back to homeland. Which is about a year long trip. The light skinned Urrat'ny is Hrasdrah and the Jerren redhead is Mina.
