Spyro is certainly an interesting character and has changed quite a lot over the years.
My preference is with the legend series, with the second being skylanders and third being the original.
I haven't played many of the original games.

the 2nd and 3rd are my faves cause they were the ones i had and played over and over as a kid. skylanders was ok to play but since i grew up with the original spyros i ended up disliking it because of how different it plays and looks, now i can see its a fine game, not great to me but not bad...even if the dang portal with it never worked. as for the legend series i dont remember ever playing them so i couldnt judge them
