Star Fox 64, which the more recent games are based off of, is an alternate world to the original SNES games. Nintendo reinvented the story worlds for many of the classic game series when the N64 came out.

Thanks for the fav. Great, anime-ish style... we all know Fox is gay and Slippy's a girl... and Falco is... something. The last Star Fox I really played was 64, didn't care too much for Rare's Zelda clone.

Oh dont even get me started. I've held a grudge against Rare ever since for ruining one of my favorite franchises at the time.

The problem with Rare is not that they dont make some of the best graphics out there, its that they don't know how to make original games. Lots of people liked Conker, but I could never get around the gameplay. Adventures was a case in point... you could see the fur textures back when that was amazing.
I didnt take too well to the new Starfox... it seemed a little short. The N64 one was good though... even the simple multiplayer was fun. Never got all the medals...
