Someone needs to get their powered armor personnel clear of their dropship's firing solution. Also, if your opponent is a melee user, STAY RANGED. Also, target extremeties. No, not for damage purposes, but to cause balance and momentum issues. Small impulses added at the end of nice long-travel points means LOTS of rotational force. Lastly, if you absolutely MUST close to within physical striking range, cover your live assault forces' action with large amounts of harassing drones and covering fire. Use things like LRAD and microwave denial systems to force movement on the target macro. Don't let up on those, switch frequencies often, and make full use of irritant and crowd control weapons/chemicals, thus denying the opponent important things like effective senses. A dead-on uncovered frontal assault is suicide. Someone suggesting it should have their head examined. When fighting macro targets, above all else, FIGHT SMART.

This all being said, this is a frontal assault playing to the target macro's strengths. Someone on the normal side is an absolute frelling idiot whom, if the commander survives the encounter, should be court-martialed for wasting resources and troops' lives in an unnecessarily foolish attack. 'Nuff said.
