Sorry for being away for so long. Issues with space and energy and happenings and head-space and visitor and work and shit have kept me busy. I'll get caught up soon/eventually. You do see what I have to deal with though, snakes and lizards infest the kitchen, dragons and dinosaurs in the bedroom, and things have gotten so scary that even the lions are clinging to the ceiling now. Much larger versions of this and other pics of the digs, check em out!
Also, a hello and welcome to all the new watchers. The best season for photography, for me at least, is coming up soon. Hoping for some good wild weather during freeze-up to make lots of nice ice for me (and you).

Yep! People underestimate the strength of this stuff. It will be redone though now that it's in place, relatively. I'll make three mount points above and lift each corner into place one by one. Much simpler, and yah, it's a bit of a cludge and an eye-sore that's been bugging me for ages. Time time time!
Actually the kitchen um, elements, are set back from the stove. There's no way the radiant heat from that thing could ever make anything reach flash-point. I've lived with wood-stoves for most of my life and thing like safety and operation are second-nature to me... which means I'm suitably paranoid! The fire risk here is the same as any other place and it comes from the usual sources, most common being electrical wiring.
Oh there was a bit of juggling with the kitchen this summer, more to come. Really need to put more dividers between some of those units, shelves etc etc. Nope, haven't installed the Austin Powers rotating bed with neon disco lighting yet. Well, it really hasn't been a necessity. Was rather hard to do those pics! Had to do panorama/mosaic shots as best I could. It looks crowded, but you know that's an illusion.
Yew betcha! Oh, and that t-shaped workshop thingie has been taken down and replaced by one long bench at the back (as in the workshop picture) and another square-shaped free unit was put together. I figure the best way to use the volume is to use the edges of the room and have free units I can move about in the center.
Last March; I came to help him set some stuff up. He let me stay for a couple of weeks, I got to watch spring defeat winter for a second time. (The change brought so many opportunities for amazing pictures!) Gracy was a brat, although I think she was getting the idea of what was expected by the time I went home. And I got to chat with Mike; he's a sweetheart, very gentel and such a clever fellow! When did you last visit the 'Cat?
Gods but I HATE it when it times out when sending comments etc, and then again, and again. *lol* C'est la connection! I had D'Otter out here a few years earlier too, in the fall when I was just moving in upstairs. I was SO tired though and dragged out, all we did was watch movies and drink beer for a week! *lol* Was a great re-charge though, just having someone around!
If we mount the speakers to the angled side of the upper part of the ceiling it'll direct the sound with minimal wave interferance. That and they'll be put of the way from head level and usefull counter or shelf space. If you haven't already don't it the next visit that'll be #3 on the list of must do in this order before we have any fun or play. }:^>
Have you had a chance to try out the other amp or stereo equipment yet? Let me know how it goes eh?
