Truly, things weren't looking good. The Sultan was pointedly wondering aloud by exactly what means I should be put to death. Let me tell you, that is not a debate you want to listen in on.
Then the Vizier leaned in and whispered into the Sultan's ear. I didn't hear what was said, but it made the great tiger grin in a most disturbing way. The Sultan apparently liked the Vizier's idea, whatever it was, but I was a bit less eager. Of course, it's not as if I had much choice.
