Lady Dingo wants to introduce Danny to a former pack mate of hers, Leo. However, jealousy only ensues as he (Danny) thinks he is being ousted.
In honour of Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday, I decided to recreate a scene from the short, "Mickey's Rival" which introduced Mortimer Mouse to the world. A little background: Mortimer Mouse was the name Walt Disney gave to his new character after learning that he did not own the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, but then his wife convinced him to change his name to Mickey.
This piece is also somewhat synonymous in that Leo the Dingo is actually an older character I created in 2002 for an 8th grade children's book assignment, although here, he only vaguely resembles my original drawings of the character.
