Despite his good fortune in gaining a ride, he seems a bit nonplussed -- or does he have another reason for looking so dazed? (I see a bottle, there, tucked away with the luggage -- that might explain his blanked-out appearance....)

Heh, I think for as much as he dose this is something welcomed and probably why he accepts.
