Trying out a simplified shading comic style I saw some other artists use. Some of the shading can be a bit inconsistent, however, which I hope I can correct in time. I could have added some more bounce and rim lighting, but ultimately I think the image gets the point across enough as is. It's not really intended to be a legit work of art that will solve any problems in the world anyway, but to tell some story, explain character relations, and for me to work on my backgrounds and anatomy practice from my art block/burnout.
Take that as you will.
Regardless, pretty fun project.
