well tbh it did ooz tumblr. i mean just look at rotten tomatoes. the score has been fucked up by either people giving it a half star. or hundreds on fresh accounts giving it a five start rating when they just made their account and without an actual review. OR simply putting "gay rights" or "it's so gay"

Well that's more the people perceiving the show as such. Though it doesn't help with how the character designs and with some of them act yeah, but it wasn't as in your face about it. And I did kinda liked Catra.

I actually like the series for what it is so far, the series picks up and get more action centric after episode three or four. Yes the first three are to show the struggle with catra and adora, but that is a theme that is explored, as well with the other characters. The relationships are deeper then what they was in the 80's when she-ra was just made to sell toys. Think of this as a light hearted version of Voltron legendary defenders.

The thing is I found it boring because they swapped 80's cheese for modern day "lol so random" and i was just done with that after things like steven universe. i mean she don't act like she was raised from a baby to be a warrior at all so she didn't feel very cool. she felt real clumsy a lot of the time. it has the oposite problem to the original. that where the original made them too old for teenagers. this show makes them feel too young for teenagers... I liked bow though...

Yeah, the first couple of episodes aren't always amazing. Actually I'm more wary of a show that starts off good than one that starts off kinda lame.

Steven universe is probably the best ( or worse seeing how you look at it XD ) example of this. first season was pretty cool. but Steven just got more and more annoying as he just seems to refuse to grow up XD like when they notice that in his year books he stayed the same since he was ten because he just doesn't mature mentally or take responsibility for things he does and instead takes on other peoples problems. or gets properly accosted when he does do something wrong so they choose to recon some mistakes he made as tests. on the other hand. gravity falls started really good and ended really good.

Steven went from kinda lame to okay to really annoying, just ugh and his constant crying.
Building momentum in a show is really important but so is a good first impression.

I think the trouble is. i been spoiled by actually good cartoons like batman. teen titans. Avatar. powerpuff girls etc

Those cartoons were good cause they took risks, now a days cartoons play it safe to their determent and the ones that stand out took the same risks cartoons used to. Hopefully in time there will be a new era of non-homogenized cartoons.

I don't think people 'like' the show for whats in outside of the LGTB stuff. Honestly if a show had good story, good morals, things like that, we would be seeing it on tumblr loads of times. But so far there's a lot of 'gay couple this' and 'gay couple that'
Like I'm all for diversity when its not being used to push the show longer than it should. Think its gonna be talked about for awhile and then it'll just disappear. Hell, seems to have disappeared already.

Just look at Rotten tomatoes it’s a joke. American cartoons have been on a shark doc line for the most part since 2010 I’d say

still have to watch it...i grow up with the originals so yeah...kinda worried myself a bit

then i feel for you my sister watchen them as a kid and she showed me them when i was about 8. i loved a lot of old cartoons then and still do :]
