Thank you =D. What I did with the lighting of the characters in this one was to paint the characters first in shades of grey, so as to make sure the lighting was uniform and drastic enough before adding the colors. Sometimes when I work right into colors, the lighting can get a bit confused because of all I have to worry about with making the colors match - but this way I had a lighting guide to work from.
The character in the foreground is delightfully handsome as expected, but what really makes this for me is the sheer amount of work you put into everything else! The other characters, the bar... It's ALL beautiful.
You do incredible work Kacey, please don't ever change! :P

What makes this truly stand out for me is that it's just a piece of everyday REAL life turned Furry. The hyper-unrealistic fantasies of situations and other things within Furry can be great, but it really ties it back to our human connection with animals in the first place to see scenes like this within the fandom. Thanks for sharing this!
You never cease to astound and impress, Kacey! It must have been very difficult working with so many simultaneous light sources... O.O
Considering that this is all done in traditional medium, that instantly stands out as a testament to your ability. The anatomy, as always, is dead on; impressive use of foreshortening (right arm of the bartender looks difficult to accurately imagine, especially for me). Shading and highlights are phenomenal; you even took the time to accurately paint each light into the reflection of all the wine glasses and bottles in the background. Reflections off the polished bar top are such a nice touch; adds a lot to the overall atmosphere. Brilliant!
It's so inspiring to see your work! Always a pleasure to see your latest talents take shape into artistic beauty of this magnitude. :3

Awesome! :D I really like the background in this one. Very lifelike, and reminds me of a real place that I saw once. Beautifully drawn, just like always! ^.^
Now that I think of it, a lot of your pictures seem to take place in a bar, or at least involving a bottle or something... Have you worked in a bar before?

The original media for this arrived recently and I must say, the tiny details are even more impressive when you can see the paint and brush strokes. It must have required so much patience to paint all those little reflections: The bartender's in the shaker and empty martini glass, the lights in all those wine glasses, and everyone's reflection in the surface of the bar.
I got a lot more out of this than I originally asked for, and I am very pleased with the results.

Thats weird - its not even posted on VCL. At least - I haven't posted it there @.@. I did just post it on DA recently, catching up on my art postings there since I fell behind, but I do list the character ownership there as well (Though I didn't know if you have a DA account so I didnt link back to any page and just wrote LordVictor as the owner) Link to the DA listing: http://kaceym.deviantart.com/art/Victor-147401931
