I should post crap here more often!
So I have ALS, and that sucks, but I have amazing friends, and that's the best thing ever.
On November 10th, a whole bunch of them got together and marched for a mile to raise money for ALS research.
It was an amazing show of support and one that I'll never forget.
We raised $34,110.01, effectively doubling the amount raised by the second place team.
Furries did that. Yeah.
The organizers were blown away by the exuberant fun that a whole mass of fursuiters brings to an event.
It was the first time that the local ALSA reached their fundraising goal and it was the biggest walk ever.
Yeah, furries did that.
As I limped that mile, I watched the crowd break into smiles while we strolled by.
The "magic of fursuiting" is an overused phrase, but this was truly, well, magic.
ALS patients don't have much to be happy about, but I saw lots of them absolutely light up as the parade of adorable
fluff went by. That's an incredible gift.
Yup, furries did that.
I can never repay the kindness and support I've been shown by this community, and I'm damn proud to be here.
And you should be too!
Oh, and there's a great video, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX4.....ature=youtu.be

I think the best thing you have managed to repeatedly accomplish, is leave lasting, life-long memories with so, so many people.
The kind that will always burn warmly when looked back upon, glimpsed into a story told to a friend, unable to help but smile while telling it.
I will always be inspired by the selfless legacy you've been leaving, as I hope many others do as well.

Dogbomb, the amount of love and support you seem to give and receive is truly monumental, the fact that you and everyone else there did so much, it's truly inspiring! I wish there were things I could do to help light up the lives of others...I suppose I just need to find something and go for it, it's an intimidating thought, but seeing what you go through, it looks like a goal to aim for.
Dogbomb! Dude. I'm sorry I couldn't make the walk. As with everything you've shared here, it sounds like an incredible experience. And to raise so much for ALS - furries are pretty darn awesome! As promised, I have made a couple of contributions - even though they probably aren't counted towards your totals.
You are an amazing furry dog! :3

I've been reading your posts for years. You've always been such a bright light and a beautiful soul and in person you're so easy to be around. The thought that I won't see you again breaks my heart. It's selfish to say I don't want you to go Dogbomb, even tho we only meet every few years at cons. That's just how special you are and what a lasting impression I think you leave on a lot of people.
I know you're gonna fight this thing and give it hell. I'll cheer for you from the sidelines. I know if someone can beat it it would be you. No matter the outcome, I'm so proud of you Dogbomb. I'm happy to have met you. Thank you for just being you. We love you.

Everything about this is so, so amazing. I definitely saw that "magic" of fursuiting at the ALS event we volunteered for, it meant the world for us to bring smiles to their faces to ease the pain. In a time when a lot of negativity makes headlines, it's stories like these that bring to light how awesome furries are and the impact we can have
