Peter Laird recently announced that the Mirage Group had sold all rights of its Teenange Mutant Ninja Turtles property to Viacom's Nickelodeon. Just like with the Marvel/Disney deal, I'm not sure how to feel about this, though I'm not sure anything good could come from this. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

Hell of an anniversary gift, though. lol

To be fair, Avatar is not a bad show, so maybe something positive will come out of it. Who knows?

It's possible. Avatar was pretty good, except for the end, which seemed pretty rushed. Hopefully, whatever they do with the TMNT, will approach that quality.

This is like "Disney bought Marvel" round 2, in that people cry endlessly, isn't it?

Also quick fact to anyone who's worried: Peter Laird sold it to Nick. Because he wasn't doing shit with it. Literally. He was SITTING on the series just to keep anyone else from using it.

wow, this is actually the second parody comic I saw. The other was on fireball 20xl... Spongbob was carrying off the turtles in a jar. There was a box "To a good home for 6 million" Dude hold cash, guess he was Laird.

Lets just hope Nick treats the TMNT well. We're just really lucky it wasn't Disney that got to them first. I mean 4kids already did enough damage with them.

Well Nick does have some good action shows like Avatar the last airbender and such. So it might not be that bad a deal... it would also explain the overall feel of the latest film, it did have a Nickolden feel to it all in all.

Hopefully they won't botch it up..things were fine as they were... We'll just have to wait and see what happens and keep our fingers crossed they don't fuck TMNT up
