Meet Sunny the blimp bird!
They're a species I made just in time for the American thanksgiving! (I’m Canadian but I missed our thanksgiving lol)
He’s a big boy built for swallowing and stuffing insane quantities of food/prey in his belly so he fits right into the theme of the bird stuffing holiday.
I honestly just wanted to draw a big stuffed feral bird for thanksgiving but didn’t want to draw a turkey…
So I drew a big tall bird creature and decided to go overboard with all of it… and made a new descriptive species… and character.

I know there are a few animals that can't regurgitate or belch so I figured I could borrow that trait, and while I'm at it I may as well make a digestive tract excuse to have the other end plugged so fun things can happen. >:3
And ya it would be cool to see people who enjoy bursting also enjoying this species. I would honestly be ok if anyone wanted to make an OC of this species too, I think that would be fun to see.

A lot of it has nasty things in it that normal critters cant eat but we can. I figured since it has such a meat and light plant matter tailored diet it would cause serious problems for the bird.
Also maybe more gaseous foods would be waaaay more potent and cause him to build crazy amounts of gas in his belly. >;3

Point being, that period between "Oh shit, I've overdone it" and the inevitable result... That's the best ever. Too big to do anything, and too late as well even if you could, gurgling, groaning, streeeeeetching, with nothing to do but wait and see just how big they get before their hide fails <3

And yeees, that's my favorite scenario. Knowing you overdid it and foolishly doomed yourself, followed by experiencing the slow strainful inflation and just waiting helplessly till you streeeetch to the point where any moment your belly could fail and burst open. <3

A Blimp Bird would be quite the nice pet friend to keep around.
If you wanted to get them big without the absurd food cost all you would have to do is feed them something they shouldn't eat and they would bloat right up with gas...
Just be careful tho, some foods they cant have are more potently gassy than others and they cant let anything out till its all digested.
