Here's another "Throwback Thursday" offering for my latest 'Sweeps Month' (November, 2018)…
As a follow-up to my previous 'photo-op' - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/29469205/ - I have one more digital picture, taken (with the camera feature of my smartphone) at the 2018 edition of Miami-Dade Book Fair, at the Wolfson Campus of Miami-Dade College in downtown Miami, Florida.
On Sunday, November 18th, while taking in the book fair, I got to meet two authors at one lecture (held in the Magic Screening Room, within one of the college buildings). In this case, the lecture was about cartoons seen in The New Yorker (magazine). The main lecturer was former cartoon editor Bob Mankoff, who just edited and released "The New Yorker Encyclopedia of Cartoons: A Semi-serious A-to-Z Archive". And joining him is cartoonist Bob Eckstein - who has two books: "The Illustrated History of the Snowman" and "The World's Greatest Bookstores: 100 Postcards".
Following said lecture, I had the opportunity to buy a copy of the "...Snowman" book and get it autographed by Mr. Eckstein; and I also had another lecture attendee take my picture with the two Bobs, using my smartphone. (From left to right, we have Eckstein, moi, and Mankoff.)
