Trying Blender's wind effects on hair, it's a lot of work to get it to loop and have to bake all particle systems separately, so... I think any physics/force field simulations on hair will have to be film oriented instead of looping gif animation.
Some time I might extend the animation to him saying "fire" and a big gust for the shell firing. At least that is what I envision.
