A peek under the lids of the Westinghouse. The dial glass isn't broke, that is masking tape with call letters written on it from some previous owner. I need to figure a way to get the crap back off! Luckily, the glass is reverse painted, so I won't peel any paint off.

Yep, it is the same chassis. Only difference is the console uses a 10 inch speaker instead of the 8 inch one in the table radio. Oddly, the tube diagram on this shows a pre-amp with tube for the record changer, but I don't see where mine ever had that. Also, the schematics for this radio don't mention it either.
Ah, ok. Yeah, mine has the crystal type. Of course, the GE 417A I have has the VR pickup. :) I'll pull the chassis out this week and see if I can get it up for a rebuild. Dean has roughly four of the table models in his back room in various states of disrepair, so possible parts supply. :D
