Kimiko trotted into the empty dojo. With it being Saturday, no classes were scheduled today so she was able to walk about freely without worrying being spotted. And her trainer was off getting groceries, she had it all to herself. Well, maybe “trainer” wasn't the right word she mused to herself given that even he admitted he didn't take care of pokemon normally. Teacher? That was probably more accurate identifier for the man.
Picking a spot in the middle of the dojo, the Mewtwo sat in a version of the lotus position. Her protruding belly didn't allow her to properly recreate it. Kenshin had wanted her to try and practice meditating, claimed it would calm her down. Once she was comfortable, she closed her eyes.
“Slow breathing” she thought, recalling the steps Kenshin taught her. “Mind empty,” Her body began to slowly levitate up off the floor. Beyond that, she was as still as a statue.
“Find stillness, find tranquility, find-”
Her train of thought was cut off when a hearty THUMP struck her from the inside, jolting her with a “Ngh!” Her concentration broken, she fell back to the floor with a thud, everything jiggle a bit before settling. Her normally blank expression started to turn into a scowl before she shut her eyes and took a deep breath.
“Don't get mad,” she tried to remind herself. She had to be better than this. She couldn't let Kenshin down. “Can't let my emotions control me”. Once she simmer down, she tried her meditation again. She floated back upward.
“Calm, find calm. Fin-”
THUMP
And with that, the last of her patience vanished. Her aura flared and her eyes glowed.
“WOULD YOU QUIT IT!” She shouted at her own belly. “YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT A PEST!” Her psychic aura pulsed for a bit before it finally dispersed as she sat back down. Her mood was still sour, but for a different reason. She'd failed again. She wanted to prove to her teacher that she could relax, control herself. She clearly still had a long way to go.
She was gearing up to try one more time, but stopped herself. Something was off, it was subtle, but it was there. The sun was still out, the air was still, and yet she felt...cold.
Then it hit her
It wasn't the coming from outside
It was coming from within
She looked down at her belly. She had thought her child was too underdeveloped to telepathically convey emotion. It turned out it was just so placid she didn't recognize it. But now it was giving off one she recognized.
A familiar cold emotion she felt in that lab all those years.
Fear.
And it was aimed squarely at her
“Wait, no! I'm sorry!” she tried to convey telepathically to it. It just shivered inside her, almost in revulsion towards the message.
“I'm sorry. I just...I'm not used to all this. Everything's changing so fast.”
No emotional change.
“Do you forgive me?”
More cold fear.
“Wha? Why are you still scared?”
Then it clicked. It wasn't listening, in fact, it probably couldn't. It was just a baby after all. Not even out of the womb, it was operating only on the most basic and primordial of instincts. Given her psychic strength, what sounded like a normal conversation probably sounded like shouting at what currently had the thinking power of a puppy. Maybe...she could reach it another way
She focused her aura inward. She couldn't make out the fine details, but she could feel the infant's outline. With the lightest of telepathic links, she reached out to it. But instead of words, she used emotions. Love was probably too complex an idea for it, so she trying to project it's parts, warmth and the like. There was a mix of feelings projected back at her, confusion maybe? She continued her telepathic caress. It was like the psychic equivalent of a hug.
Eventually, the cold receded the mental turmoil turning back to it's still placid state. The fear was gone
Kimiko breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe now her own child wouldn't hate her before it even leave
Now back to-
Wait
She blinked when she opened her eyes and looked over her side. She was already levitating, having subconsciously lifting herself during her calming of her unborn child. Well, might as well continue. She shut her eyes once more
“Empty Mind. Inner Pea-”
THUMP
She opened her eyes and sighed.
“What am I going to do with you?” She asked with a slight smirk as she stroked her middle

I'll admit I haven't been much of a Pokémon fan, but I've always thought Mewtwo was cool. Couple that with my usual modem operandum of there not being enough preg art of a particular character, and it was a given what comes next. The problem is, Mewtwo is already a bit curvey by default, so I wasn't sure if anyone would be able to draw a Mewtwo, make them look pregnant, AND being in the pose I was aiming for. Fortunately, when I presented the idea
Derrysome he was able to take the idea and put it to form proper, curves and all so a big thanks to him for this.
