This was an experimental speedpaint that I made, visiting with family, a few days ago.
Time on this is around 2.5 hours.

Instead of my normal process, I never cleaned up the line art, I just painted under the sketch, and erased parts that got in the way, and paid a bit more attention to the texture of the piece, as a whole, for something quicker and sketchier than my normal work.

The red and blue contrast on this one was very fun to work with, as well. Overall, I think this might be an approach that I'll experiment with some more. With a bit of practice and refinement, perhaps it'll be another artistic step forward.
