Now that all members of the Mammalian Army are complete, I can go for the next General in the line, Ligern.

General Ligern was the leader of the Mikene Empire's Mammalian Warrior Beast army and one of the Seven Generals under the command of the Great General of Darkness and later the Great Marshall of Hell. He resemble a Demonic Centaur creature, with a feline characteristics to its design, with a Blue mane, and fur one his arms and abdomen, with a yellow lion head with horns, red hands, and paws, over all gray body with a white under belly, his fore legs are white and gray, with gray and light brown stripes, his hands legs are fully gray. His real face is located in the chest, surrounded by yellow color mane, and sports a white helmet with a red crest on top.

Of the Seven Generals, Ligern is describe as the most ferocious, yet the most shameless, willing to deploy dirty tactics to destroy his enemies. He is also something of a Glory Hog, willing to destroy Great Mazinger before anyone else, or even stealing the success of others to have the spotlight, but at the moment of truth when things get tough, he'll run away – in fact, it was under his command the Battle Fortress Mikelos is destroyed, and he comes out of the wreck as the sole survivor. When the Great Marshall took over of the Seven Armies, he was the only General to show acceptance of Hell's methods of running the Empire, even when these were borderline on his obsession, do to his past defeat by Koji and Z when he was Dr. Hell.

During the final battle, he and General Angoras tried to hold Mazinger Z as the Battleship Demonika attempted to escape, when Jun arrived on the Venus A, she fired her Optic Beam killing Angoras – the blast threw Ligern off. Realizing he was outnumbered, Ligern attempted to flee, but is killed by Z's Optic Beams.

Ligern has appeared on every single iteration of the franchise where the Seven Generals have made featured – from the original Manga, to the Mazinkaiser OVA and the Shin Mazinger Zero Manga and the Shin Z anime.

In the Mazinkaiser OVA, Ligern resembles much like his Great Anime counterpart in design, as well in persona, with the major difference he was black with dark red outlines, with Green Fur a red Mane. His presence in the OVA lasted for a few minutes, he showed up at a Siberia Air Base with his Beasts Mammothdon, Dolman and Gravalus, trying to take the credit of capturing and Killing Koji Kabuto from Archduke Gorgon when Prof. Morimori unleashes a barrage of Missiles on the area, killing himself, Ligern and his Warrior Beasts, as Koji, Sayaka and Gorgon escaped on time, Ligern been impaled and ripped apart by one Missile, with his true face showing shock and disbelief to the situation.

In the Shin Mazinger Zero, His design resemble a feral version of the Mazinkaiser version, while in the Shin Anime, you only see a silhouette of him as he and the Generals come down from the sky on Pillars.
