A design by  rockpools that I absolutely fell in love with. I am such a sucker for the moss-growing-on-stone motif. Special thanks to  littlewulfie for being great and letting me turn blizzard balance into paypal balance so I could afford this adorable boy. He's intended to be drawn in a more semi-anthro style, as opposed to full anthro. Think like a digitigrade-Bowser :D

A creature with the ability to turn from flesh to stone at will, he was tasked with the protection of an ancient city. Since the downfall of the civilization, he has maintained his petrified form in a hibernation state until being awoken by the human threat*. He hopes to protect the modern civilizations from ruin, as he was unable to protect his own.

*Human threat: I'm sort-of working on a medieval high-fantasy world filled with Zootopia-style/semi-anthro characters (as well as normal feral animals and possibly sapient feral animals) facing the threat of humans breaking into their world (probably via dimension tearing) and exploiting the resources and people of the world (as laborers, etc), and possibly attempting to colonize it.
