One of the changes made when I decided he needed new eyes was to change how they were mounted to his face. Before I'd been using a couple of foam straps glued to the inside of the head via the eye sockets to hold the eyes in place. With the new eyes, I decided to use small neodymium button magnets, four per eye, make it easy to remove/replace the eyes and thus change the character's expression.

So far this has worked out far better than I could have imagined, I'm quite pleased with the results.
