Appearance: Paiyin is a plump Pandaren and often wears a red and black captains coat, hat that has gold rims along the collar and wrist sleeves. Her hat is black rimmed with the same gold trim and a large red dyed strider feather that sits on the left side of the hat. She wears black pants and a belt containing various leather pouches and a cutlass sword at her side. Her eyes are a beautiful vivid purple and burn with intensity and emotion and wears her hair short in the front and sides tied into a long pony tail that is black and fades into a royal purple. She wears ear large ear rings that are round with a red ruby gem in the middle of them. Her fur on the face is all white along with her ears and black stripes along the under side of each eye and cheek in the shape of a thick long triangle and round out around her eyes with another smaller point in the middle of her face on each side of her black eyebrows. The inner part of her ears fur is black and her torso to her thighs is white gradient into jet black fur from the shoulder down and thighs down. Her claws are white or painted red to match her red and black attire and colors of the Cutthroat Barracuda. Her body type is of a large round woman typical of her Pandaren species and a large plus size with proportional chub in both back and front. She has a typical bear nub tail that has a gold ring around it on the back side of her red uniform and wears golden sandles over her feet paws. She carries her posture strong and proud and there is no questions she proud of her mind and body. On her neck she wears a leather black collar that has a silver sun star with a functional compass in the middle, a heirloom and symbol of her adopted family.
(Cosmetic items)) Sometimes will form red firey wings to show off however they do not let her fly and are mostly for looks or used for intimidation. However it is possible she can burn something or someone if she chooses to the same way she can manipulate flames in her hands.
Personality: Paiyin holds herself up as a strong determined and strong willed woman and her actions only prove it further. She is often distant , cold and to the point with strangers and has no tolerance for bull crap or shenanigans especially when a job is to be had and done. She can be very very cold and sadistic however this is often directed more at enemies and is cautious to let anybody get too close to her. She does not act like the typical Pandaren due to how she was raised and tends to extend that brutish and mixed behavior of her upbringing. She however exhibits a clear weakness for food and oddly enough enjoys cooking , something in her roots that was there from the beginning. Those who do earn her favor and she calls a friend are rewarded with an insanely loyal friend who would take a bullet to protect them. She values the few she can say she trust and will treat them as best she can not wanting to ever loose what she cares deeply for. Even those who are close to her will get a mix of caring yet still cold on the side fighting herself from having any feelings too deep and tries to limit her attachment to someone. This can lead her to act aggressively if questioned about feelings for a person and storming off to avoid the questions or situation. She has been known to also react this way especially when anything about her crew or parents are brought up and will also try to shut down questions about this with aggression. Getting her to talk about her passed or family is like trying to remove gold from a vault with 1000 locks..the very very small margin who do get her to talk any will see her more sensitive and emotional side that she still will quickly try to avoid. She does not like anybody to see her cry for it makes her feel weak and same applies to showing certain emotions.
Pyromancer- Paiyin discovers she had the power of Pyromancy when she accidentally uses it to defend herself and the crew during a botched mission. She burned the enemies though she could only control it while she was angry and even then it was minimal. Despite burning down half the place and the enemies she was able to help them escape. Learning of this her parents got mage and shaman to both begin training Paiyin to control and effectively harness her new found powers. She is able to extend this power to a special made sword that she can set the blade ablaze creating a fire sword. She effectively can throw fire balls harnessing this and use her hands or spit fireballs depending how she wants to deliver the attacks. However if she does a flame attack it is more like a flame thrower and if she wants to throw them she conjures it through her hands. Her flame breath works with how ever long she can exhale and fades out as she needs to breath still and can not while shes exhaling flames. Using her Pyromancy comes at a cost , if used extensively it takes a lot of mental strain and body energy . Large and long period uses will cause exhaustion and render her unable to use attacks if done poorly so her attacks have to count. Recovery can be done by eating to a degree, healing including restorative potions but the best and most effective way is sleep.
History:
Paiyin's story begins on Pandaria where she lived happily with her mother and father as Fishers and crabbers. It was normal for her to go with them on their voyages to bring in tasty fish and shellfish for her people and their family and was a honest peaceful job. One day they get a huge request for a heavy quantity of a specific fish but it could only be caught out in deep sea waters so they planned the voyage and thought it was the perfect opportunity to start teaching their daughter Paiyin important training to one day start carrying on the family business as well as survive on her own. After packing their boat with supplies to last for up to three weeks they shipped out on the fishing trip and at first the sailing was going well and they already had begun to catch the desired target prey. Using preservation boxes to store the fish after they had been cleaned and dried or kept alive in a live well they seemed to be meeting the quota a lot sooner than anticipated. Half way through the voyage things went all wrong when a freak storm hits them and sweeps them far out to sea.
They put Paiyin below deck as they tried to keep the boat from capsizing and they did succeed but it went silent after Paiyin passes out from something hitting her in the head during the crazy rocking of the boat and ruckus. When she came to her parents were no where to be found, the sails were shredded beyond repair and the mast broken. Paiyin was probably around the age of 5-8 years old (human years) at the time of this leaving her terrified as her cries went unanswered. Searching the boat from top to bottom she soon realized she was completely alone. She didn't know what to do and would be left to drift on the sea..but luckily for her she wouldn't die yet of starvation and dehydration as her parents had prepared for a long trip.
There was enough food and water for at least a couple of weeks and thankfully she did know some basics to survive such as basic fishing or collecting rain water and even if she was not that good at it still let her keep some reserves for just a bit longer. Even when she did get some water and a few fish the food would not last forever and was getting to the point where she had scraps to eat and barely any water to drink not to mention the rough shape of the boat was getting worse and starting to have places it leaked slightly. The fate of Paiyin was looking grim with her starting to starve and had no food or water for at least two days and just as things seem like they couldn't get any worse a large dark ship spotted the fishing boat drifting. This large fish skull shape boat full of other skulls as decoration was without a doubt a pirate ship and recognizing this the little Pandaren tried to hide below deck as the Pirates docked and start searching and taking anything of value.
The captain and his first mate were a orc couple and they actually had lost their child due to an alliance attack and its the orc woman who eventually finds her cowered behind empty barrels. She would be about the same age as their daughter and of course her motherly instincts kick in hardcore seeing this as a chance to have a family again. They adopt her after realizing she was indeed helpless and alone on this boat even if the Captain was a bit weary even he couldn't resist the cuteness of the young Paiyin. Once she realized they were not going to hurt them she clung to them for dear life knowing they were her only chance of survival..and if they had tried to leave her there she would of crawled on to their boat anyway. Eventually Paiyin would forget her old life and was being raised with her new surroundings and molded into the proud sea pirate daughter they so longed for. She took their last name but kept her first name and soon became as ruthless on the seas if not more than her adopted mother and father. When she came to approximately 26( in human) years they decided to reward her with her own fleet and was accompanied by her best friends from her parents fleet consisting of a few goblins, dark iron dwarf and a young peon orc chef. They would make up the start of her crew and expand on the Cutthroat Barracudas to the 4th fleet in their large numbers.
There seemed to be no stopping the Cutthroat Barracuda as they savagely attack anyone who gets in their way and that often meant the Alliance since they had a lot of connections with the Horde they default tried to avoid raiding them. One day a gnomish member known as Wily got a huge tip and map that was to lead to the Mother Load of treasure that could be rich enough for most of them to live happily with the amount of value it would have in gold! Wily was a well known and loved member by the entire fleet, his charm had long won their trust over several years of service to the Cutthroat Barracuda and of course naturally trusted him to lead and follow the tips he had. No one was more excited about this than the Captain and his First mate figuring this would be their last big gig and turn it over to their beloved Daughter who was to carry on the Barracuda legacy.
Wily navigated and helped lead the main Barracudas three fleets to the location of an uncharted island and right away something seemed strange about it but nothing had alarmed the group. The ships would get as close as they could before the crew would disembark and row to the shore where Wily leads them deeper into the thicket of trees. It soon became clear something was wrong when Wily just stopped in a clearing and when questioned what was going on and why they had stopped and Wily would only grin before springing the trap on them. Before they knew what had happened Alliance ships swarm the three fleet boats and the remaining crews on them had no chance to defend themselves as the mass of ships obliterate the three mother ships. Wily didn't waste time explaining things and gave the remaining crew one chance to surrender or else and the proud orcs they were they fought to the death, many of them dying but not before taking out as many Alliance as possible. Others gave up to be cuffed and taken back for sentencing. Phase A had been flawlessly successful and Wily prepared to initiate the final Phase and take out the final Fleet...their Daughter who was saved for last given she was more ruthless and dangerous than the three Fleets they had just taken out. Wily knew dealing with her would take a more...delicate approach to lure her into this trap and he sends off the message with a mechanical bird that knew exactly where to find her and her Fleet. *
When Paiyin got the message she frantically gathered her fleet and rushed to what she thought washer father and mothers S.O.S but when they got there Paiyin was already weary seeing the debris and things floating all in the water ...but there was no sign of the fleet and the fog rolling around only made things even more eerie. She didn't feel okay having her ship go into that cove and halted it while sending in her goblin 1st mate to meet Wily and bring him back to the boat but when he tried to help Wily he turned on the goblin stunning him with his warlock magic and holding her mother and fathers sun star compass in clear view. He demanded they surrender or he would take out her first mate too but just as he was trying to get leverage her goblin 1st mate explodes a smoke bomb causing enough of a distraction for him to flee doubled up with his goblin rocket boosters he got almost to the boat before falling in water and swimming like mad. The hiding Alliance began to shoot at them as Paiyin turns the ship around and throws a rope to her 1st mate to get him back aboard. Just as it seemed like they were going to escape they would hear Wily's creepy laughter echo with six fully armed Alliance fleets closing in on them. Her crew were smart and had an escape plan , she instructs her 1st mate to overload the ships power core and engine which would cause a massive explosion , they had only moments to get to the Barracuda escape pods. They were barracuda torpedo shaped escape pods that exited from the bottom of the ship underwater slipping passed the Alliance ships with ease. They were not called the Barracuda for no reason as they all made their separate escapes and leaving the Alliance thinking they had committed suicide since they did not see anyone jump overboard after taking refuge below deck. The ship would be burned to a crisp not leaving any evidence of their survival.
Paiyin would grieve deeply though did not show it other than a shed tear or two as she stayed focused on herself and her first mates survival. They manage to make it to Booty Bay where they docked and stayed for the time being and in a safe place that the Alliance couldn't touch them. Her first mate comforted her as best he could and was able to return the Sun Star compass that Wily had taken, the sneaky rouge managed to swipe them back which Paiyin was very thankful for. They would talk for hours staying in the back of the Tavern when the decision was made that he would go his separate way..this was just too much for even him but the two parted ways on good terms. Paiyin was not upset with his decision and understood as she contemplated what she would do now that the cutthroat Barracuda were effectively eliminated except for her and a few stragglers. While she did not outwardly show her grieving she chose to try to drink her pain away at least for a little while that is until she was approached by another strange looking goblin that was sharply dressed. He had been watching them since they arrived and taken an interest in her. Paiyin of course was very cold and dismissive to the goblin and despite her snarling and threats he was persistent to talking to her. He made it clear he knew who she was and offered her an application to join The Crimson Caravan. At first she about spat in his face and shoved it back to him before he pointed out her Captain status and being the last captain she could either give up and rot or make her family proud by standing up and avenging them.
She would be hit hard by his words but it got through to her , she told him she would sleep on it and to sweeten the deal he would pay for her tab and get her a good meal room and even a new Captain's uniform to replace her tattered and blood stained one she had on. A few days later she sought out the same goblin who had been hovering around like a vulture. He knew she would come around as she turned in the application and would marvel in extracting revenge on the Alliance and most of all that gnome who had destroyed everything she had loved and cared for. The alliance had yet to see just how cruel and sadistic this sea predator could really be...............
