It’s the map of Anduruna!
…Again!
I already submitted an older version of this on DA like three years ago, but this version is so much better that I wanted a do-over.
I felt the artistic compulsion to improve our map illustration when it was to be featured prominently in the new ‘Dreamworld’ website page. The map on the site is interactive, with different clickable areas. This meant I needed to accommodate the format, and move some of the map’s text around in Photoshop. Then came the inevitable twinge: What if I included - just briefly - a tiny bit of green where the forest is supposed to be?
Flash to now, where my unrestrained meddling has resulted in a much more refined map with relief shading and glowing snow volcanoes.
Expect another pointlessly improved version in a few more years - this time with population density expressed by macaroni noodles.
Having a map of our comic's setting helps me write out the different cultural and geographic features of Anduruna, the DreamKeeper city.
It's got a lot of history behind the layout and location. It was really fun developing the different themes and cultures of the separate districts, as well. It's very helpful to have the city wirtten out and conceptualized when moving ahead with the storyline.

It's the Anduruna region of the Dreamworld, a fictional setting for our graphic novel storyline. More info on the website - www.dreamkeeperscomic.com
I'm glad you like the look of it, thankyou! Although I can't take any credit on the calligraphy, it's just a nice computer font.
