Carrying on with the theme of armors and uniforms, I got a couple really nice references here. It made this one of my favorite pictures ever. It seems that the exposed gaps in platemail didn't lend themselves well to protecting Fystilago, who has fallen in a battle. Don't worry, this is just the Bad End. Fyst will make many appearances in the remainder of this franchise, because despite being a parable, your choices don't really matter. HEH!
Ramah, whose character I cannot seem to find references of literally anywhere. I might actually have my notes wrong here, but I did do two commissions for them. This one, and a monster hunter YCH I'll upload following. They have armor from a franchise called Willow I believe? They apparently knew each other. Always sucks when a party member dies and you're all out of Mega Revives. The moment when your character dies for real is the worst! Roguelikes ruined my life and they'll ruin yours too if you don't follow my advice and stick to exclusively carebear games, kids.
I always thought I severely underplayed the carnage of this image. Like fuck not even much dismemberment. Just the usual ones for me. Where I chop off someone's wings to prevent them obstructing my composition. HEH! Still, some viscera might have been a nice change to this, but I was very much not confident in any abilities back then. This working file has over 100 layers. Literally every fucking piece of armor has 3 of its own layers for lines, colors, and effects. Omfg. :I
