Oh that was a show to spoof on I have no problem wit that but the comedy points were not there.
Will has been getting away with bad plots and this time it bit him in the ass. The Trex was easily the best part of the story. Although it would have been great to actually see the guy get shat out!
If you don't have comedy then go with gross out.

Belive it or not, Will Ferrell did make a good movie once.

Unlike anything else he has done, I actually liked it.
I think his flaw is he acts too goofy. People just don't act like that and when you see him on screen you see some guy hamming it up, not a character. But if he plays someone raised by a family of feral clowns or space aliens I think he can do ok because then you can go, "Ahh, he sure is weird and annoying but he was raised by clowns, so that makes sense."

i blame the casting couch, myself. there's no way this was written with ferrel in mind, and it's not really a movie that needs him in it but they seemed to go "hey, it's will ferrel! he's been in a bunch of hit films, lets hire him so his star power will get more people to watch!" and then tried to get the writers to rework the script at the same time they were going to start filming.
