Inspired by his "Fatty Anthro" series, I'd decided to draw a fatter-than-usual version of 'Kuya', in a situation witnessed by two of my own characters ('Rob Cat' and 'Donovan Lupus'). The lion had moved up (and out) in his ice cream consumption - from cones to gallon-sized containers - with predictable results. And, for added emphasis, his aching belly begins to 'mimic' his own cries of ecstatic anguish!

I guess you could say that, TFRD. By hand, I was redrawing the lion's pose from "Fatty Anthro Kuya and Theta" (sans 'Theta') - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2677143 - giving him a bigger belly in my comic drawing. (Sorry to have made it extend past the edge of the panel!)
Yeah, I was trying to shade 'Kuya' the way his creator did it - which wasn't easy, since I was using my Paint,Net program, as compared to more professional programs like Photoshop. I had used other programs (in the past) to provide shading to my art, but never as much as to this one project (in such a short span of time - less than 48 hours to draw the comic, scan it, color it, and add said shading - without having a conniption fit, if I had a power outage happened halfway through... which, thankfully, didn't occur this time)!
Oh, I knew there was something I forgot to add to the drawing... That little smudge of ice cream around the lion's muzzle. Since I didn't draw a spoon to put in his paw, I must've had him pigging out 'head first' into those gallon-sized ice cream containers. Maybe somebody (off-panel) wiped his mouth with a napkin...
Anyway, thanks for the positive 'feedback', Garr!

Oh goodness! This looks stunningly new for the animation of last you've done, Rob. The shading really highlights the characters and scenery. And I'm not sure, but I think the colors here compliment, Kuya, who seems to be the main focus of the picture.
I don't really get the joke, though. Sorry <:3
Can you explain to me the joke's meaning, please?

Firstly, I want to point out that this is a comic strip and not animation; just for the record...
Anyway, I'd like to credit Kuya for coming up with the shading for his character. It was very difficult for me to recreate it, at first, because the pants and part of his shirt were nearly the same color - when, in fact, the pants were a sort of faded off-blue and said shirt was a very light gray - and (subsequently) shading each garment was tricky, both in terms of color and continuing the shading (seamlessly) onto parts of his body. The light grayish hair of his mane was also quite a challenge...
Naturally, I couldn't let the XXL lion be the only one with shaded features, so I had to give some to the bobcat and wolf as well (but not as many as Kuya received, so he could stand out - as if his swollen stomach didn't already fulfill that need)...
As for the joke, it was the reference to 'slow-churned' ice cream that gave me the idea of having Kuya' mega-belly making some noise as it, too, was churning slowly (after it had its fill of the sweet treat). For added emphasis, instead of the obligatory sound effects (e.g. "gurgle", "rumble", "slosh", etc.), I had said belly going, "Yoy-yoy-yoy-yoy...", to imitate Kuya's painful cry of "Oy-oy-oy-oy..." (although I couldn't make up my mind which was funnier, in terms of the equal number of 'Oys' and 'Yoys' being uttered in each dialogue balloon; seven or nine of them)...
For the full effect (no pun intended), read the strip again, saying "Oy-oy-oy-oy..." in your normal speaking voice, and "Yoy-yoy-yoy-yoy..." in a deep gutteral voice (again, no pun intended). Then, you'll get the joke!
