So I told you guys that a New Character had recently came into Creation, allow me to introduce you to Lanya from our D&D group :)
Backstory as Written for her from our D&D Campaign
Lanya, is a Shurian Mak'tah, much like Janarr her village was targeted, but unlike Janarr and Drayk she was taken as a capture and forced into slavery. And in order to keep her manageable the Kings sorcerers afflicted her with cursed magic, stunting her growth so that she would never reach the size of a mature adult in order to keep her from becoming as dangerous or threatening as she would be when fully matured. This unfortunately led to her becoming afflicted like an Albino as a result, rendering nearly all of the Chameleonistic properties of her people inert and sterilizing her on top of it all.
However Mak'tah are somewhat known for their healing nature and Lanya was forced to Train as a Cleric, to betray the spirituality of her people and instead made to learn the ways of a cleric and taken on a Deity.
They gave her access to texts and learning for what they wanted of her, to be able to heal the troops of the kings army who had plenty of fighters, but little of those who could treat the wounded.
Once she was traded off she was subject to being on the backlines of several conflicts and battles, and made to treat this kings army as he moved across regions claiming territory, Lanya saw numerous villages burned, and the troops boasting of their kills and the women they had taken after having killed their husbands.
During what would become her last time in the backlines she was brought one of the troops she had long recognized, one that she often saw boasting of those wicked exploits. She had to heal him, this filth in her eyes. All the hatred that had built up in her and the distain for these troops had begun to well up inside of her as she stared down at him, about to mend his wounds so that he could continue his horrific actions. But that's when she heard the whispers, the whispers that told her to end his life, the voice rung in her head, "Toll him child, toll him and your prayers will be answered."
She didn't know what it meant at first, but everything that had built up inside of her, she accepted this voice in her head and suddenly the heal she was about to perform instead killed the man. She took a life, ended the life of an evil man. She then made her way through the rest of the tent and one by one she'd kneel and slowly take the life from every soldier in the tent. She did something that for once in a lifetime gave her solace, and she had but that voice to thank, the voice of a new Deity. A new domain... of the Grave.
Afterward she quickly stole the armor from the soldiers there, and fled out the back of the tent, swearing never to heal the wicked ever again.

How shunted is she in term of size? since we don't have a size reference to go with your other chars.
Interesting thing, is she in a special world for that d&d or technically part of the same world as your other Shurians? (id doubt that)
Is she part of your character pool or just for this dnd you are currently playing?

Typical female shurians like Momma Zaryn are as tall as 7'3"
Lanya however is fully grown at just under 6' for the rest of her lifetime.
She was created from D&D. I'm not sure how I'd bring her over to the normal Shurian universe, but I'm tempted to do it one way or another.
She is going to be part of my character pool for now. I just have fallen in love with her <3

I thought about it quite often myself and have come to believe it has something to do with being able to competently conjure spells. It's possible that armor would either restrict necessary movement or possibly cause interference when using a spell by the properties of the elements within. It's quite likely that the robes have a lesser likely chance of making themselves a proverbial lightning rod to their own attack, even being enchanted or woven with negating properties.
