ARGLE BARGLE BLARGH!!! IT'S THE CON CRUD WALRUS!!! HUGGGG MEEE!!!
Seriously, though, this was my outfit for the final day/night of FurFright 2009 (which was SO awesome!). You might not be able to see, but I have black button eyes, in honor of the movie Coraline, which I made my theme this year.
My plan this year was to gradually get creepier and creepier with every day, so I begin the con with button eyes and being extra nice, but then start to act a little more "weird", with the finaly result being this (I was thinking of "The Other Father" from the movie, but I like the idea that I am more or less nothing but a stuffed yarn doll). :)
Of course, since I was sick this year, I also dubbed myself "The Con Crud Walrus". I enjoyed going around the convention roaring out, "HUGGG!! CURRRSE!!!! HUGGGGG!!!!!" (Hope you get that reference! ;) )
It was so much fun going as this psychotic, demented walrus, with tunes from Silent Hill 3, American McGee's Alice, and other creepy things playing on my iPod speaker!!!! I RARELY get good ideas like this (assuming that they are generally GOOD ideas), so I have to say, I'm rather happy and proud of what I did! :)
What do YOU think?
And yes, I have yarn coming out of my mouth and eyes, too. :-D
Lots of eternal thanks to Stoker Bramwell for taking the picture and giving me tons of moral support during the weekend. I'll never be able to thank you enough, my friend. *huge flipper hugs*
And finally, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!! :-D

Doing Caramelldansen outside of Furnando's will be one of my favorite memories as I grow older. :) And I LOVE the video. There IS another video of me doing my own personal dance to it at the fursuit-friendly dance on YouTube...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ILxn9VZR1U
There it is. I'm in it starting at 1:30 (but had to stop, as I was getting WAY too tired from dancing! LOL). WAtch the rest of it for awesome WAlly Wolf action (the light-up border collie). God, do I love him.

I'm really sorry you were ditched. :( I think I entered the dance when they played "Roses are Red" by Aqua, and I ALWAYS wanted to hear the full version of that song. I LOVED dancing to that! :) I just felt horrible about having bad stamina and fading out of the dance when I did.
Yes, Anthrocon is rather intimidating. Best to go with reliable friends and try to hang out with them as much as possible. I've been very lucky (or wise in my choices...not sure).
I still love watching the suiters, but moreso when I'm allowed to dance with them, hug them, and be friends with them. Fulfills a lot of childhood longings! :)

I have that song. Not a hugs fan of it anymore though. haha. I was with the AFR crew (i worked for them and stayed for free) but they kept ditching me only cause i didnt have a suit :/ My friend is making me one but its put on hold for whatever reason.
AC is but its worse if you've never been to one and dont know your way around :/

The price may have been right for who you were staying with, but when it comes to reliable friends, stick with furs who will stay with you, suit or not. Belic Bear (the head of FurFright, and a VERY cute bear) is a perfect example of someone who ditches the idea of heirarchy in the furry fandom. Suiters may get more pics and video time, but EVERYONE is special.
*sniff* God, do I love that bear.

true, but having a suit makes it seem like more people pay attention to you, hanging out wise and friend wise, then if you didnt. I have a few good friends but I cant always see them and im usually ditched for whatever reason. :/ oh well. usually im the odd wheel out and just follow people around until they tell me to go away..
Royce that was my first fur con and I was so afraid it would be boring and I'd get ditched. But I didn't I had a grande time and made many new friends. I am glad to be out of the wheel chair BTW. Next time we can dance better. Thank you for being so nice to me. You are wonderful and suxh an awseome person with or without suit. I loves my walrus friend.
HEheh since Coroline was one of my favorite movies, I was Thrilled with your idea. After
BlueHayze Came back with his blue buttons, I Just HAD to have a pair! ^_^
I'll show you some piccies, that were taken..For halloween, I used the buttons, and painted my face doll like. If course I was wearing punky clothes and my ears and tail, so What was I? I really have No Idea! But the buttons are COOL!
hmmm... Might wear them for my next youtube video ^__^

I REALLY liked bluehayze so much (moreso because blue is my favorite color). I have to thank him personally for being so supportive and friendly to me at the con this year! *hugs and nuzzles him affectionately*
Very eager to see the pics and video! I wore my black buttons (without the walrus suit) on Saturday evening for dinner, and everyone was VERY freaked out! Especially because I was smiling. :-P
Say hi to bluehayze for me, and tell him the walrus loves him lots! :-D Or likes him lots. Whichever is cool for him. LOL
