The most overrated and hyped game of the year coming soon...to UNIX and MS-DOS!
I was bored and as I've been playing DOOM a lot as of late, did a small bit of art, decreasing the graphical quality of Flames enough so he would fit, using a darker art style for the BG, etc. It was only after I'd done all that that I decided "hey, why don't I add a title?" which soon became "hmm, a quick HUD may be a nice touch..." and then I eventually made it into box art (I know it's missing age ratings, etc). After much time messing about I decided it would be for UNIX and DOS, just for laughs.
...yeah, I blame lack of sleep too. >.<

Thanks, I've been meaning to make a real mod for Doom that replaces weapons and sprites to create "Flames in DOOM" and even at times considered a full standalone game. Problem is that even after all these years and with new engines, modding Doom isn't the most friendly or easy of things to do for graphics alone, let alone the weapons. Doesn't help that most decent tools are for DOS. (I may have to look into DOSbox)
It's on Windows platforms as well: http://www.doomworld.com/classicdoom/ports/
I'm aware of that, listing it for UNIX and DOS only was humour and was also referring to the modified engine (for the non-existent "Flames in DOOM") having only been compiled for UNIX and UNIX-like systems along with DOS.
Considering that DOOM has been ported to almost any OS that can run it including my mobile phone (which isn't a fancy smart phone or anything), I'd be worried if the multiple different Doom engines out there hadn't been ported to windows
