If you're looking for a place to go....
**I DID NOT DRAW.... oh wait....
Apologies for the non-furriness of this post- I don't want to clog up FA's... ummm... <insert technical thing here>
For those of you who have never had the pleasure of Queenstown, New Zealand- suggest you hop a plane immediately and head right there. Personally I think it's one of the most stunning places in the world, but then I'm a little biased I guess, and also am not exactly a worldly traveler. Just a gut feeling though, and if you go there, maybe you'll agree!
This is my fave shot that I took while I was there recently, though there are plenty of others worth looking at if I can figure out photobucket or some such- let me know if ya want to see more, and I'll make the effort.
Also- let me know if you're coming and want a tour guide- any excuse to be in Queenstown! ^^

Queenstown is more like somewhere in Europe to be honest- probably as close as you'll get to Switzerland or somewhere like that, without actually going there.
Unpopulated British countryside is actually *not* that far from the truth, only I imagine the temperature is much warmer here than in Britain- it can be pretty tropical here at times.

And yet the only thing we have in common with Australia is that it's a beautiful place too! And also.... sheep. Lots of sheep. I can tell you, Queenstown is not tropical though! It was only 2 degrees (celcius- I don't know about fahrenheit!) when I was down there, but yet still nice and crisp and dry.
Thanks much for the fave, by the way! ^^

Awwwww- I'm sorry dude! *hugs* I just had to share with all these folks who have never been to NZ, or even some of the NZ'ers on here who have never been to QT! I'm thinking about moving down there and starting up my own cinema- wanna come over and manage it for me?!
That sounds like a fantastic dream to have, seriously... I would love to move to the South Island. Y'know in a different life I would so take you up on that offer. Hell I'd go in as a business partner with ya.
Follow your dream though, maybe one day you could make it happen if it is something you are passionate about.
And don't be sorry - we will be back on our annual holiday in NZ in February so will get my NZ fix then

Actually hell yeah - you are probably one of the few people I would want to catch up with while I was back. My dad lives in Auckland so would want to spend some time there so would be a good opportunity to hunt you down, also. I'm just wary about potentially interfering with your work given that I will be living a life of leisure while I'm there.
The South Island is an amazing place though. The people are just so nice down there for hte most part.

Well, I'll be in Palmy for a wedding around the 10th of Feb, then I'm off to a conference in Sydney for work around the 20th, but hopefully there will be some time in between or either side while you're here, and I'll make sure I take a day off for something fun! I'll even shout you a coffee. Or maybe just a marshmallow. I'll see how I feel! :D
