watched a preview of The Strangers Prey at Night and this came to mind. I usd this poster for reference (as best I can) https://goo.gl/images/B5mozy
Pin-up girl = female bear on the far right
Sack head = Labrador in the middle
Doll-face = on the far left.
What is scarier then having 3 masked strangers toy with you and torture you and chase you around when you're at a little house in the middle of no where?
Interesting fact: The Strangers was based on a number of real events (as the movies suggest)
1) The director of the first movie stated one time when he was young, someone came to his house when he and sister were home and asked for someone who wasn't there. When he said no, the person left. The next day, a few houses down, someone broke into an empty house and stole valuables (I would assume the movie The Strangers is what would have happened if the people had more ill-intentions
2) Another inspiration was the Tate/La Bianca murders in 1969

The Keddie Murders are what this movie was actually based on, but it only borrowed aspects from the Manson killings, the robberies from the director of the first movie's childhood, and the Tate/La Bianca murders.
It is a very interesting film, and I am happy to say I own both on DVD

I know all of that though the directors encounter with people knocking on his door was often mentioned when this movie came up and he took his actual encounter and added (if you wanna call it this) a 'what if they came in and tortured/killed us' But you are right, the Keddie Murders are the main idea for the concept of this movie, along with the Manson Killers. Makes you wonder if you're really safe in your own home.
There are also a few videos on Youtube that talk about the Keddie Murders in great detail (one being a Youtuber that talks about unsolved/missing persons, stuff I find very interesting)
Speaking of Manson killings, there is a movie coming to Netflix (if you're interested) its called Wolves at the Door. From what I seen, it takes place in 1969 in LA (or California I can't remember when those took place) and its well based on the Tate/La Bianca murders. Looks quite good!

Nah her name is Caleigh Elise. Here is her Youtube Channel if you want https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ.....z-5qEvkc1s3j6Q . Its quite good. She even talks about missing persons/unsolved murders (be warned some of the subject matter is graphic. You don't see it, just descriptions thankfully) though she has shown very few postmortem photos but she gives a warning beforehand.
Here is the movie based on/inspired by The Manson Killings. It looks pretty decent and its making its way to Netflix on Dec 19th https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OumVB2qBBMA

Saw was good but went to torture porn xD and I love my bloody movies (games included). I heard of The Collector (and on top of that there was like 3 movies and the one I saw involved a club scene that was rigged to kill everyone there. (The antagonist was going after one particular person though who and why I don't know) The Human Centipede I didn't like cause it was flat out inane to me XD)
As for the Childs Play remake/reboot I plan on seeing that. A Youtuber I watched talked about this movie, and made an interesting point that the movie isn't gonna have the whole supernatural side (where Charles Lee Ray transfers his soul into the doll) but its gonna have a guy in a factory in China tamper with a microchip that he puts in the doll and the guy kills himself after or something like that. Also the producers of the movie IT will also help put this movie together.
