Ahh, Valt. He was the second character I'd made. He's from the race of the Selachori, or what's basically Landsharks. (Candygram!) It's a mega-industrial race, leading in technology while the rival country Vernalia, (where a good amount of humans live, and is the home country of our hero Miasma!) A lot of the Selachori are a working class, and so a lot of them are poor. They tend to migrate into other, more prosperous countries. That's the case of our friend Valt here.
Valt was once in the military, hoping he could get some food and keep that way. He was a regular private, really. However, he had a frustrating tendency to break orders and outright disobey authority. So, after a while, he actually got kicked out of the army. So now he uses what few tactics he gleaned from his time in the military to steal. He's not a bad guy, but he's incredibly rough around the edges, and tends to be very brusque with people. This causes some problems, especially with law enforcement.
Speaking of law enforcement, he seems to be on the run right now. Most Selachori take the trains to Vernalia, and it's to find new jobs or start new lives. But he'd gone to the country, on foot, covering his tracks as well as he can. What's he on the run from? That'll be revealed soon enough, don't worry.

I love the cell shading, that's one thing I still can't seem to get right.
