I just felt I had to do a piece featuring another of my favorite, as well as very obscure, theropod: Mapusaurus, whose name means “earth lizard” hence the title.
I do have a character out of this one, and he is an animal companion to one of my human characters (whom I once featured here). I was thinking of naming him Puki, but then that sounds silly and a bit weird so I’ll see what I can do later. If I had to say anything critical about this is that the eye is probably a little too big, almost anime-esque, which wouldn’t really fit unless I did my series in anime form (which I wouldn’t, not get at least).
I’ll also say this is one of the very few Mapusaurus pics you’ll see... I’ve found almost nothing of it here so .... here we go... 😜
