"French press is the way to go when you have a little extra time! I'll use a drip maker when I have to, but you need to still keep a close eye on it and take the coffee off the heating plate if you don't want some liquid charcoal. Other than that, you can just use a glass carafe and a funnel with a cone filter, and make better coffee that way.
