This is a papercutting i did for my nephew who likes Charmander (a pokemon) right now. (as my sis in law put it "their flavour of the month")
The picture I used for this IS NOT MINE!!! I got it on google and it seems to be a very popular pose, but the papercutting (pretty much anything you see that makes up charmander was my doing) was allll me. I even went back to put in his lil teeth >^.^< glad i did makes it looks a lot better.

thankies mr daggy *smootches* >^.^< not long actually- it was the eyes and mouth that took the most time just figuring out how to layer it and make it look good and correct. like 20 min- half an hour.

i trace the design onto the back of a paper and with an exacto knife i cut out the part i want to show the other colour. Its all basically that, but it sometimes involves layering. Real japanese papercuttings are done with special tools and are VERY delicate and intricate, i'm happy just doing pretty things for now,
