I remember I had a similar setup a very long time ago, back when I was trying to be a tech. I was also really big on furcadia. I wanted to help everybody, but that meant I needed separate computers to try and diagnose problems. I had four monitors, four computers, a single mouse and keyboard hooked up to a switch, and it was hot. Big towers, big CRT monitors, I had a desk fan on constantly just to keep the monitors cool and vent heat. The only reason I didn't dim the lights when everything powered on, was because I had to push the buttons consecutively. Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, then I did the same with the monitors. click, click, click, click. except they wouldn't boot if there wasn't a keyboard and mouse attached! Push button A:, wait for it to begin full boot process before pushing button B. Begin the process again. C and D were the same. Finally, "Severnaya" was up and running!

Yeah, that whole setup didn't last long. XD

Ouch! Ya at one point I was running a smart KVM switch but only with two systems. I had a laptop too but it's so old now it's not worth taking out anymore. I just love this setup because I can multitask faster.

Heh, yeah. I didn't even end up helping that many people. Less than ten, in fact. The only thing I still have from that setup is the Oldsmobile 98SE, a customized Compaq Presario 5670 that still sports a copper paintjob and a scavenged Oldsmobile hood emblem up there in the top shelf of my closet. =P Someday I'll retire it and recycle it properly. Until then, it's there, taking up space. ^^;;

You get lost in what you're doing, I know so because I've seen you try to multitask with that set up.

But, Kit, at least you have a computer. I don't know where mine is, or what condition it's ok. I don't even have my laptop! Everything since July has been done on my phone!
I've got to get something soon, or I'm going to go nuts!
