I have just finished catching up on all this story and I am enjoying it greatly. Keep up the good work.
That having been said, I don't see Coop's life becoming less complicated any time soon, as I predict his love triangle with Chelsea and Andy is going to become a love quadrangle when he meets River.

If the story has a happy ending, Andy and Cooper will end up together.
If not... Cooper will probably wander off with River, and Chelsea and Andy will remain friends.
If it's even worse, Cooper will still be with River, but Andy and Chelsea will no longer be friends, leaving him more alone than he was at the start of the comic.
