Meet the wolverine druid Cole Snowpaw. As a druid he trained from childhood to maintain the balance of nature with his circle, and they kept a watchful eye on any outside forces that could upset that balance. Unfortunately when Ryo Deathspeaker's army swept through the area, their small group proved no match for his overwhelming force. All of his brothers and sisters were cut down in the defense of their home. He only survived by being knocked unconscious during the last attempt to drive the undead back. A sword from one of the graveborn slashed down over his eye and the follow-up shield bash knocked him into a rock and all went black. When he woke, all his druid brethren were dead on the forest floor.

Knowing Ryo's power over death, he frantically consecrated the bodies and sent their souls back into the cycle of reincarnation before vowing that he would find some way to bring down the Deathspeaker.

After a year of trailing and observing, he managed to catch a glimpse of the evil shaman. He was drawn to the shaman in some way, and found he couldn't bring himself to kill the panda. After communing with nature, attempting to find a way to reconcile his desire for revenge with his group's pacifistic leanings, he came to a realization and resolved to curtail Ryo's efforts instead of slaying him.

Now he attempts to somehow reform the shaman instead, fighting war with peace. He travels the lands, attacking Ryo's armies far and wide, protecting those areas that haven't been conquered yet and freeing as many of the souls of the graveborn he defeats before Ryo can reclaim them. At times he'll find the shaman alone, and sometimes through words, other times through other means, he works to soften the heart he knows was hardened to the world.

Now a bit of details on his powers. Cole is a druid of the Cycle, his strongest powers focusing on life and death, maintaining the cycle of reincarnation and bringing peace to those souls not ready to leave the living world yet, shepherding them back to the cycle.

As a druid, he had trained in many different things before choosing his focus, and consequently learned shapeshifting, capable of becoming a giant feral wolverine for combat, a golden eagle for flying, and a pine marten for spying and evading. He is capable of manipulating nature, through growing plants and controlling them, or animating things like feathers, fur, or leaves to distract in various ways. He can speak with animals, getting intelligence on the armies or using them as lookouts and spies. He's able to turn his thick fur into spines for defense, and sharpen his claws in his humanoid form for hand-to-hand combat. Through brief meditation and connecting back to the land he is able to rapidly heal wounds, leaving no scar, save for the one on his eye he got during the last stand of the druids. He keeps that in remembrance of his fallen circle.

Most powerful for him though is his voice. He is able to use his songs to bolster defenders, incite fear in attempted traitors and the graveborn armies, and entrance his enemies. Though his words he's managed to protect thousands from Ryo's nearly unstoppable horde and even managed to ensnare the Deathspeaker himself a few times, releasing Ryo after attempting to soften his heart a bit each time.

And for those curious, yes he is gay (the druids saw such things as a natural part of the cycle maintaining balance) and yes he is ticklish and loves tickling in all forms (he loves paw rubs too).
