We're starting to clean out the garage in preparation for my mom moving out of the house (and me possibly moving in after college), and in doing so, we found an old art project of mine from middle school that I've sporadically remembered existed over the 7~8 years it's been since I made it! It's a bust of my then-new gargoyle character whom I have since named Cyrano, themed around and inspired by the SCL Project song "Paranoid Doll," hence the butterfly tattoo on the face.
I have not set eyes on this bust since I made it, so I certainly didn't recall it looking this ugly, but my craftsmanship with clay in middle school was certainly not the best. Part of me doubts it would be any better now, but another part of me disagrees, since I have considerable experience sculpting fursuit heads out of foam. In any case, the image in my head of it has been improving over the years, whereas the actual bust, obviously, has not.
I am tempted to get rid of it, but I am not sure I want to simply throw it away, so perhaps I'll try to submit it to a convention art show and see if anyone thinks it less ugly than I do. X'D
