this is lewis, the snail. a /dead/ snail, actually.
he used to live in a library, where he worked on nightwatch duty - but he started snooping through the wrong kind of old books and meddling with, well, occult stuff you probably shouldn't play around with - it didn't end well for him.

Now he's stuck spending eternity herding lost souls ... not that fun, really.
