They say the old towns dotting the plains were haunted- brimming with roiling souls and downed sheriffs, the bones of the good and the bad littering the mainroads and surrounding brush in a brutal, catching sunlight often and staying ever an open grave. Few ever wandered in, the heavy ideology keeping most away.
The stallion was growing to become apart of the legends that were growing with the dusted bones and lost bullets. With a haunting stare and a silent step, his massive presence was always apart of the bleached bones dotting the landscape.
Enough civilians have come and gone to cement the reality that he does exist- but nothing more.
