So. Early Christmas present to myself, I guess? But I've been struggling with sonas for YEARS... This one, will by my main. Last one, No exceptions. And Mistral (insert link here, eventually) will be my alt. Because yeens.
Decided to go all out and nab a fursuit-style reference sheet from
Phoenix-Of-Starlight and he did an amazing job in helping design and settle on the very bean that is me. :> I'll be working on a fursuit for them, and lots of art~
Also, a blurb from the Journal I created them in, for bio fun. :>
4. Bottlenose dolphin hybrid (hybrid with false killer whale or common dolphin, or hec, even an orca)
5. A blowhole piercing is a must for this phin! Either a stud, or a ring of some sorts. And speaking of blowhole, their's is a little off-center, more on the right side of their head. Either a light or dark birthmark at the back of their neck is mandated as well, as I have one myself. Their teeth might be a little more yellowed, and maybe a little work on the right side (they chew on that side!). Hands may be either slightly webbed or none at all, and a notch on the trailing edge of the dorsal fin would be welcome - it may also lean to one side, if you choose, but not totally flopped over. Speaking of scars, one on the bottom of their chin, please. A small, straight lined, cut. Also, yellow tinted, black framed glasses (you know the ones).
6. Depending on the hybrid you chose, this may vary, with the markings being duller, or much more clashing. I would appreciate the typical bottle nose facial markings and coral cape, however! If a FKW hybrid, the underbelly can either be solid, with the V or M marking on their chest, and lighter area around their belly button. If you chose the common dolphin hybrid, white-sided markings and more contrast are welcome, especially a bit of a white-cheeked look or with white 'brows'
7. Somewhere in between! I'd love to see a how the styles could blend. So... toony, with a healthy dose of realism.
8. Personality?
They're shy at first but come out of their shell pretty quick with nerdy topics or any discussion of animal-related science, art, or animated movies. They enjoy making silly references to movies and games, and adore UNDERTALE/deltarune, and like to wear clothing themed around it here and there (striped shirts/sweaters, similar outfits to characters), and prefer comfort with a bit of style, though arent opposed to the occasional fancying up for their date, or just for themselves! They're the type to hold the door open for others, and smile at strangers, and thank everybody within reason - and say sorry too much! Chivalry isnt dead to them, but they can forget sometimes if they're tired, or get too witty with their jokes. Speaking of which, they love to sleep. Naps, blankets and cozy things, and a day of gaming and music, with some sketching or sewing is an ideal day for them. They're 90's trash, with a jealous streak as long as they are, and a thing for dirty jokes with friends.
They're a childish, somewhat flamboyant, kinky bean with a thing for cartoons.
9. A little fuzzy memoried after some traumatic head injuries from a neglectful mum, they've been a bit of a sideline watcher since childhood, too shy, and a little too different to fit in with most schoolmates. What friends they have, they kept close, with some coming and going, and with a good memory for non-home history, their fondest memories come from larping and games in the schoolyard with their friends, and deep fondness for swimming pools and computer games with close friends. On the poorer side of middle class, they found themselves lusting after friends' gaming systems and toys, and would often sneak things to school, or try to create games that could be played with imagination and pencil/paper. Eventually this would lead into a curiosity for tabletop and PC RPGs, and quite the attachment to handheld gaming systems, among them, pokemon being a favorite. Much of their childhood imagination has carried on into their early high school years, keeping them an outcast, with little interest for romantic relationships with the rest of their normal classes, turning to books and writing, and drawing, without much of a clue as to what they wanted to do in life.
Creativity and drawing never went away, even if it dulled at time to time, and they eventually turned to the theater, fixing up costumes and eventually starting to make them.
Nowadays, they've turned that artistic side into making a business around their art, interests, and costume making. Romance has become a strong want for this dolphin, and while theyve fooled around a bit true to their bottlenose herritage, they havent found a mate. But they dream of working together and plenty of romantic dinners and movie nights, with a hefty dose of cuddling.

I also had a dolphin character that a fursuit was never made of.
I tried to get him made but the builder I wanted to make it just stopped responding to any messages before I could commission him to be made.
I can't just have just any builder to make him as the fursuit would need to be safe in water as I fully intended to go swimming in him as that was the entire reason I had the character created in the first place. I think it would have been awesome for furs seeing a Dolphin swimming in the hotel pool.
