Part of me wanted to draw a Sonic character, the other part of me wanted to draw Land of the Lustrous/Houseki no Kuni stuff and I ended up drawing Sonic characters cracked like gemstones. Funny enough this little series of mine STARTED with INFINITE - 2 drawings of Infinite actually that I had hoped to draw digitally but I lost my motivation and I feel my Sonic art style has improved since I originally started - but fear not I will post the 2 original "shattered"/"lustrous" Infinites at some point; most likely on Furaffinity in my "niche" folder.

I had the idea of shattering Gadget/Buddy the Wolf into a mix of citrine and another gemstone. Originally I though emerald since emeralds are such a staple in the Sonic franchise but due to their lack of importance in Forces I opted for peridot as the accompanying green gemstone instead. I also added some hints of blue and white which are from some varieties of jasper!

(When it comes to jewelry/gemstones I turn into Rouge the friggin' Bat)
