Zen
A startling percentile of the population that makes up Silk City are those who would hide their true identities, as the world have labelled them Monsters. Monsters are just like you and I but with either strange powers, abnormal figures, or mythological backgrounds. Anyone who’s been shunned by society for who they really are, those who have nowhere else to go, can always find a welcoming community among the Monsters. They meet on an archaic looking internet forum, use long-obsolete social media platforms, and seek each other out all to find a sense of belonging.

At the beginning of our story we find Zen, a rogue Monster who has shut himself out from all sense of community. Strange reports of attacks late at night begin cropping up, victims claiming to be attacked by a black beast, then only to wake up unscathed. Wild, rambunctious, and ill-tempered, Zen will attack on sight if his mood permits it. However, he is also shown becoming docile at times, now and then he can be seen hanging around the SCU campus at evenings, either listening to music or eating. He never talks, and no one approaches him.

So, is he a wolf? Or is he a mutt?
