paper is Boesner Le Grand Bloc, stretched on wood board. My scanner is an Epson V370- had always great experience with their scanner hardware, printers are a bit less great...
But most scanners will do really, just use the advanced mode to scan. There you can select what white and what black on the sheet is with a pipette tool and in 97% percent of cases it'll be perfectly set up at this point.
