A cute little idea based on Shane’s original concept art. Hope you like it. :) This unfortunately sat in my to-do folder way too long as I ended up not being pleased with the sketch for panel 3 and it took me forever to finally get around to drawing a new one.

A couple of notes:

Shane’s original concept art is admittedly pretty goofy, I wasn’t able to replicate that with my style… can’t help it, when I put my pencil to paper I think he comes out adorable no matter what! He also had brown hair, I went back and forth about whether or not I wanted to stick with that… but I just couldn’t wrap my mind around the idea that Shane actually dyes his (brown) hair purple on a regular basis… Though I do think maybe it was mentioned once that Sebby is a natural redhead like his mother, so he’s a dyer. ;)

My version of Sebby loves Shane’s big belly, so he definitely wouldn’t pick on Shane for losing his athletic bod, haha. But I thought it would just be funny if that’s why Shane thought he was in such disbelief about his old varsity picture. I also realize there’s a certain irony in Sebastian making fun of anyone’s hair, haha… but it’s just for fun. I didn’t think that hard about it. :)
