Back in 1983 almost every school kids in my playground, every adult at the water cooler and every family can't stop talking about this new TV mini series call 'V'
When aliens come to Earth to ask for our help, a few suspicious humans discover their horrific true intentions and prepare to resist.
V (or V: The Original Miniseries) is a two-part American science fiction television miniseries, written and directed by Kenneth Johnson. First shown in 1983, it initiated the science fiction franchise concerning aliens known as the "Visitors" trying to gain control of Earth and of the ways the populace reacts.
If you never seen it I beg you to go and watch the 1983 first two part ep, then the next 1984 three part V The Final Battle and after that the first season only. But not the 2009 reboot. (2009 was a total crap)

I remember it starting as a Miniseries and becoming a television series, but I could be wrong.
I actually liked the reboot series. I don't know why it gets so much dislike it actually wasn't bad. I'm surprised the original didn't last longer.
For the life of me I don't know why the reboot didn't last either. They were bolts really good series.
Still kind of makes me chuckle. Freddy Krueger playing a vegetarian alien. Not many people think of Robert England and television series. They always think of him as Freddy Krueger. I can't or member it. He played Freddy in Freddy's nightmares or not.he's actually a pretty versatile actor, but he's only remembered for one or two of many roles.
I suppose part of why I like the newer series is I'm a bit of a pervert and like the idea of the aliens wanting to get freaky with humans.

I remember watching this show. I use to have nightmares of seeing lizard eyes staring at me from across the room. I found it rather interesting that they could have pulled off such an intense sci-fi show while at the same time maintain a minor level of humor to it, though rather dark to say the least. I wish that they had carried on with the remake they released a few years ago. That show was pretty crazy.
Was just watching this not so long back actually. Got the show on DVD Sucked that the TV series never went past the first season though...
