More from Arcane Abomination
Behold my spookling!As you can tell he is based off HP Lovecraft my favorite writer. It was a big challenge to
accomplish this final design. I went through at least 12 alternate looks before settling on what you see now.
I realized that what I needed was to throw in some aspects of some of his most well known creatures of his.
The tentacle image on the body and the eye impressions on his chest and hands were inspired my Azothoth & Yog Sothoth.
The image on the back is reminiscent of the 3 goat eyes used to depict the black goat goddess Nub-Shiggurath
The pale face is faintly tied to the image of the king in yellow. I tried adding a crown but it felt out of place.
Lastly the tail tassel is made after the great lord Cthulhu, complete with very real usable tentacles.

ABILITIES
Aside from normal bookling powers, Eldrik also has the ability to cloak himself for an hour at a time
and even enter the dream world. However after the time limit for these is spent he must spend the
same amount of time recovering before he can use them again.
PERSONALITY
He's generally a quiet guy but he gets annoyed very easily and isn't afraid to tell you like it is.
When he does speak, his words can be harsh and sometimes criticizing but, he means well.
He also suffers from paranoia as a result of his past. Thus he doesn't trust easily, but when
he does it is wholeheartedly. Once you become a friend he will show undying loyalty.
BACKGROUND
He was one of the original fully completed Necronomicon. He was to be burned with the rest but a worshipper
used some magic and turned his copy into a bookling and sent him away to save the knowledge. After several years
he became tied up in a group of cultists that promised friendship and unity but quickly double crossed him. Treating
the bookling like a tool and using him for their own selfish works. The last straw came when he was forced to procreate
with another captured bookling. In the night while they slept he was able to escape by summoning a vile elder god to
distract the cult while he slipped away unnoticed. Now he wanders from place to place trying to find anywhere
a book like him can belong. He has no ties with his son nor the bookling he was forced to impregnate.

You might have been able to give him a crown of horns, but I don't know anything about booklings, so maybe it wouldn't be possible. Anyways, I love him! And I'm a Lovecraft fan, too, but I'm probably more a fan of cosmic horror in general, and in some of the mythos in specifics. Yog-Sothoth is my absolute favorite, with Shub-Niggurath and Azathoth as second and third. Great character, you've made.
Horns I believe are other traits yes. Although I can't say which their exactly.

I actually have another Bookling modeled after the King in yellow. I even named him Hastur. He has a crown on XD. He's a sub species called a royal booking so the yellow king only seemed fitting.
